Freskon, 23-25 April 2015, Thessaloniki, Greece

Exhibition with focus on SE Europe

The 1st Freskon exhibition, to be held in Thessaloniki from 23 to 25 April 2015, will serve as a reference point for the fresh fruit and vegetable market in Southeast Europe.

Freskon, organised by TIF-Helexpo, with a focus on everything involviong the production of fresh fruit and vegetables, bringing exhibitors into contact with representatives of large foreign supermarket chains, commercial enterprises and distribution companies-networks.

At the same time, the exhibition will host foreign exhibitors that are active in the sector and represent the cutting edge of fresh fruit, vegetables, logistics, machinery and packaging materials.



Hosted buyers will be coming from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, China & Hong Kong, the Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, England, Lebanon, Belgium, Malta, Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

2,400 pre-arranged meetings between hosted buyers and exhibitors have already been scheduled and are expected to increase further in number by April.
The parallel events held within the framework of the event are also highly important, with the International Cherry Conference and the special section on Supermarkets standing out.

At the International Cherry Conference, the global cherry market, new technologies regarding cherry cultivation, projections for the upcoming season in the main cherry-producing countries, the commercial prospects of the product and methods-proposals for its better marketing will be mapped out.

The largest supermarkets from Greece and the Balkans will participate in a specially modified area located within the supermarket section, exhibitors will have the opportunity to attend pre-arranged meetings, hold discussions and develop partnerships.

Furthermore, in the framework of parallel events, innovations and new technologies of the sector will be analysed, while a presentation will be held on the transport and sale of fresh fruit & vegetables by representatives of foreign supermarket chains in the Balkan market (Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania and FYROM).

Freskon is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Macedonia –Thrace, with the National Bank of Greece as the Official Bank of the exhibition and with the support of 'Froutonea' magazine.
