German apple sales pull up

The German apple harvest has finished and the produce is in storage, reports the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) on its website.

The favourable shop sales prices have finally shown their results. In the main German cultivation areas, a lot more apples were sold than in the autumn of 2013. The German apple harvest could be higher than originally estimated, but the apple market will not be determined by the harvest volume over the next few months, but by the size of the stored amounts. According to current figures the stored amount is slightly lower than originally suspected.
