Meeting the challenges of reduced pesticide availability
A one-day seminar ‘Crop Protection and the Food Chain: The Future’ aims to help the UK fresh produce industry face up to these challenges, and includes presentations covering:
• The growing impact of UK legislation
• Residue analysis and Maximum Residue Levels
• Key findings of the Andersons report ‘The Effect of the Loss of Crop Protection
Technologies on UK Agriculture and Horticulture and the Wider Economy’
• Illegal pesticides
• Stewardship in developing countries
• Identifying and managing issues facing the fresh produce industry
• Findings from the SCEPTRE Project and next steps.
Jointly organised by the Crop Protection Association and the Fresh Produce Consortium, the seminar will be held on Wednesday 21 January 2015 at the Deafblind UK Conference Centre, Hampton, Peterborough PE7 8GX.
