"Despite the cyclones, flash floods and a persistent economic crisis, I would say that the campaign is going well. Demand is on the up especially for basil, with a peak envisaged from the end of November."
"This year, things are looking good and it means we can get through winter more relaxed. Quality is the best we've had in a long time, not to mention the fact that we have a lot of product available."
The only weird thing is how hot it is: temperatures are still above 25°C outside and even 37°C in greenhouses!
The company mostly works on the domestic market, but it also exports to Romania, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The first requests from the UK have also arrived.
"As regards the foreign market, the British are increasingly appreciating our product, so much so that we are doubling the orders. We are very proud that we have received their compliments," concludes Giombattista.
