Officials at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that potato production reached 44 million quintals over the 2013-2014 season, a sufficient quantity to fulfil demand and guarantee stable prices.
Despite the 10.2% decrease in harvest compared to last year (49 million quintals), it is enough to satisfy national demand without having to turn to imports.
