Rewe home delivers products in Osnabrück

The German retailer, Rewe, has been delivering it's products to home addresses in Osnabrück since last Monday, reports the 'Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung' (newspaper) on their website. Customers can order online and therefore have access to everything that is also in the store. The minimum order price is 40 Euro and delivery costs up to 5 Euro. The delivery costs depend on when the customer wants their order delivered, says Thomas Bonrath, a spokesman for Rewe. "If a customer wants their order within two hours they will pay more than a customer who does not need the order right away and therefore gives the deliverer more time to make the delivery."

The supply comes from Bonrath, which is in the immediate vicinity of Osnabrück. This area will expand over time. The products come from selected Rewe supermarkets in the area. "These stores have to meet certain technical conditions and have sufficient storage capacity."
