McCain onion rings could contain glass

McCain Foods is asking consumers not to use onion rings from the batch with the code V40728 as they could contain glass.

Under the supervision of the ACIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) the company has begun recall procedures on 397g packages marked best before 28 October 2015. This is also aimed at packaging where the “best before” date and and batch code are not visible.

The ACIA asks consumers to check if they have this product at home, and if so to dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase.

No injury or illness has been reported for the moment in connection to this alarm.
