Idaho Potato Commission post 'Perfect Potato Pairings' to coincide with harvest

It’s September, and the annual potato harvest is underway across Idaho, where growers are unearthing a year’s supply of America’s favourite potatoes. To coincide with the arrival of fresh Idaho® Potato varieties in the market and to assist operators with planning for fall and winter menus, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) has posted its Perfect Potato Pairings recipe web page.

The IPC plumbed its extensive foodservice recipe database to compile riffs on potato and complementary ingredient combinations. A click on each Idaho® Potato pairing yields up to a dozen innovative potato recipes for every menu style contributed by leading chefs and foodservice operators from around the country. The Perfect Potato Pairings range from customer favourites (bacon, cheese, eggs and sausage), to herbs and aromatics (basil, paprika, honey, and cinnamon), to vegetable partners (asparagus, squash, tomatoes and mushrooms), to special events (Super Bowl, Thanksgiving, New Years).

Operators will want to bookmark the IPC Perfect Potato Pairings page for year-round menu inspiration. For more information, visit the IPC recipe database at foodservice.idahopotato.com/recipes.
