Four reasons to eat mushrooms more often

Mushrooms enrich meals and provide the human body with a lot of nutrients. Scientists from Boston recently researched what makes mushrooms so healthy, reports the German website Lifeline.de. They found four main reasons that people should eat mushrooms, shiitake or chanterelles:

Losing weight and keeping it off: Research participants were given white mushrooms instead of red meat for a year. They then found it easier to lose weight and were less affected by the yo-yo effect.

Better care with nutrients: As mushrooms contain a lot of nutrients, they automatically improve care with vital substances for the most diverse bodily functions.

Stronger bones: Mushrooms as a supplement against osteoporosis? This is a good idea: research shows that dried mushroom extract works just as well as vitamin D pills.

Strengthening the immune system:
Two to three portions of shiitake per week strengthen your immune system. Lab mice also showed that dried mushrooms could be used to combat salmonella.
