Dutch fruit and vegetable export up 9% in first half year

Export of fresh fruit and vegetables from Dutch soil amounted to over 1.5 billion kilos in the first half of 2014. 9 percent more was exported than in 2013. In particular, export of pear (+81%), tomato (+13%), cucumber (16%) and bell pepper (14%) was significantly higher. Export from the Netherlands to Germany increased by 14 percent. In addition, a lot more was exported to Russia.
