Canada: Hardbite chips receives Non-GMO third-party verification

Building on Hardbite’s core brand values and “natural” roots, Naturally Homegrown Foods today proudly announced that it received Non-GMO Project verification on its first two premium snack food items. The brand is the first Canadian made potato chip to receive the distinction and signals the company’s commitment to use natural ingredients with all products in the line.

The Hardbite branded items that are Non-GMO Project Verified include; All Natural potato chips, and Lightly Salted Parsnip Chips. All packages will include the Non-GMO Project Verified seal shortly.

In addition to meeting Non-GMO standards, all Hardbite handcrafted chips are gluten-free, and contain no trans fats, and no cholesterol.

“Our customer’s concerns about GMOs are very real”, said Kirk Homenick President of Naturally Homegrown Foods Ltd. “Our goal is to give them confidence in our products which is why the verification process with the Non-GMO Project was so important to our organization.”

Verification of the first two Hardbite brand snack foods is a strong start, and the company has embarked on the verification process on the rest of the Hardbite product line.
