Monoprix opened 40 stores in France in 2013
The Monoprix group opened 40 new stores in 2013, of which 23 are franchises, making a total of 79 franchised stores amongst the 500 sales points in over 200 towns.
The 40 new stores in France were : 15 mono'p, 8 Monoprix, 7 monop'daily (of which 2 are in stations: Montparnasse and Montpellier, and one at Nice airport), 5 Naturalia, 4 monop'station (in St-Quentin, Hazerbrouck, Douai and Vierzon stations) and 1 monop'beauty.
50% of Monoprix's 500 stores are in Ile-de-France. They are either under the names : Monoprix (300 sales points), monop' (86 stores, of which 8 are on the motorway), monop'daily (20), monop'station (10), monop'beauty (6) and Naturalia (78).
Monoprix's turnover reached €4.3 billion (incl. tax) in 2013 and they intend to keep up the momentum of openings over the next few years. New 'shop in the shop' style monop'daily's will be opened in the Bonjour (run by Total) stores on the motorway following a partnership with Argedis who head the Total motorway stops.
