Cora redesigns hypermarkets in Belgium

Near Valenciennes and the French border, Cora has just redesigned their supermarket in Hornu. The aims within the 11,000 square metres are : to simplify the clients visit, have offers, use the know-how of hyper markets within traditional aisles. They are also testing a hard discount space. ''The idea was to simplify the clients route with two objectives: putting forward the offers and underlining our know-how'' says Hervé Krieger, Director of Hornu's Cora.

The volume of products on offer is particularly high, from 35-40% in this store. The offers are upon the client as soon as they enter the store on a king size screen. Reminders of the offers are present throughout the centre and vertical aisles.
