French potato acreage rose well over 5%

The acreage this year is 18,742 ha; 17,813 ha last year, so there is an increase of 5.3% (+ 935 ha). The acreage for several varieties is: 1,569 ha for Spunta (1,548 ha in 2013), 934 ha for Bintje (1,026 ha), 485 ha for Lady Claire (458 ha), 381 ha for Innovator (387 ha), 390 ha for Fontane (319 ha), 335 ha for Challenger (215 ha).
