New 'AMI Markt Bilanz Obst 2014'

The import of fresh fruit to Germany has been in a negative trend over the past few years. Current figures from the German Bureau for Statistics, however, show that this development ended in 2013. This, and more extensive information on the German fruit sector is being published by the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) in their issue 'Markt Bilanz Obst 2014'.

According to the German Bureau for Statistic's current figures, Germany imported around 5.05 million tonnes of fresh fruit in 2013. This is 4% or 206,000 tonnes more than in 2012. The current export figure is at around the same level as in 2012 at 684,000 tonnes. As import and export figures can still be reported over the course of the current year, the definite figures for 2013 can still increase.

The 'AMI Markt Bilanz Obst 2014' is available from April 14 2014. The book edition in A5 is 256 pages and costs 192.60 Euro excluding 7% VAT and postage. The e-book as a pdf document can be downloaded for 254.70 Euro exclusive 19% VAT. Both versions can be ordered now at www.AMI-informiert.de/shop.
