Turkish fruit export increased by 16% last year
The total export amount and export value of Turkish cherries decreased by 3% in the past year. Despite this, cherries were still the second most exported fruit. At 155 million American dollars (112.5 million Euro) cherries made up 22% of the fruit export sector.
Turkish fruit was mainly exported to Russia in the past year. 33% of the total export amount went here. After Russia, most was exported to Germany, Bulgaria, Iraq and the Ukraine.
