Lighting can be a valid support for marketing and promotional activities, that is why many retailers are now starting to consider how to use it to their advantage. Perfect lighting and colour can in fact change the perception of clients and influence their choices.
Gruppo Ega-Studio Primel studies the various lighting techniques in order to enhance colours and promote produce. The company designs and develops the technical projects, chooses the lighting and energy efficiency levels and offers post-opening support.
"We consider all modern techniques to guarantee the best results both in terms of lighting and energy saving. As regards fresh produce, colour is important but so is the protection of the fruit and vegetables. LEDs are easy to mount and ready to use and, in addition, they are energy efficient and maintenance costs are low, so they're just perfect," explains Alberto Turci.
"20% of electricity produced worldwide is used for lighting, but often it is not employed in a very efficient way. Investing in lighting is one of the simplest ways to reduce environmental impact and cut costs, as average savings are of around 40%. Just think that promoting fresh produce in a 2,000 sq m megastore means saving up to €40,000, 260,000Kwh and 110 tons of carbon dioxide."
The Group was established in 2008 by five partners with years of experience in various sectors and has already carried out projects for the most important retailers at a domestic level.
