Banafood Services
Seven years ago Banafood Services started a new banana ripener facility located just across the border in Straelen, Germany. The company has capacity of 35,000 boxes a week and the possibility to expand. "In the past seven years we've proven to be an added bonus to the banana market as a ripener," says Hans Maagendans. The company has 28 rooms.

Van der Lem
The organic share of the bananas of banana ripener Van der Lem is 25%. "It isn't a problem for us to have 1 container of organic bananas one week and just a few pallets the week after. We can handle these small volumes perfectly. So you can say that is our speciality," explains director Marcel van der Lem. They have 29 rooms and a capacity of 33,000 boxes a week.
