'Reichenauer Gärtnersiedlung' starts pepper harvest

The harvest of the first peppers of season 2014 started last week in 'Reichenauer Gärtnersiedlung' pepper greenhouse on the German island of Reichenau, reports the cooperation Reichenau-Gemüse eG. The first peppers from this greenhouse were available as of yesterday, Monday March 17, in the Edeka Südwest and Edeka Südbayern.

For the first two weeks only green peppers will be available, in limited amounts. Red, yellow and orange peppers, as well as pointed peppers, will follow in mid March.

Based on the mild and warm weather with a lot of sun hours this year, Reichenau-Gemüse eG hopes for a successful year with their connected growers.
