Italy: Berlin is an obvious choice, as exports represent 75% of turnover

"2013 was a fluctuating year for the Solefrutta group as spring was very positive with satisfying volumes and prices, especially for kiwis. Summer peaches and nectarines also did well but prices in August-September were far below expectations," explains export manager Michele Sinisi.

In addition to peaches, nectarines and kiwis, the other main products of the company are melons, gentile lettuce, broccoli, cucumbers, courgettes and beef tomatoes.

"We widened our range in 2013 and, most of all, we established direct relations with growers all over Italy to guarantee continuity and high standards. We plan on doing so also in 2014."

For Solefrutta, exports represent 75% of turnover, and the remaining 25% is made up of domestic retailers.

"In Berlin, our aim is to strengthen the relations with both suppliers and clients, as we feel that computers cannot entirely substitute personal relations," concludes Michele Sinisi.

Michele Sinisi, export manager, and Francesco Bampa, Solefrutta administrator, will be available at the collective stand of Verona Mercato, Hall 2.2 - Stand C-09.
