Turkish Pavilion to showcase 25 companies
Acting as representatives for the Turkish Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Sector; Mr. Ali Kavak [Pictured right]- Management Board Chairman of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporter Unions and Chairman to the Turkish Citrus Promotion Group, Mr. Kemal Kaçmaz- Chairman to the Turkey Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporter Unions and Management Board Vice Chairman of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporter Unions and other management board members willalso be present.
Turkey’s fresh fruit & vegetable production is approximately 47 million tonnes of which is 28.5 million tonnes vegetables and 18.2 million tonnes fruit.
Turkey’s fresh fruit and vegetable export amounted to 3,3 million tonnes in 2013, with export values of $2,3 billion. Within the sector; citrus export was 1,3 million tonnes, fresh fruit export was 726.938 tonens and fresh vegetable export reached 1,2 million tonne. The revenue derived from exports of these commodity groups have been $930 million for citrus fruits, $708 million for fresh fruits and $692 million for fresh vegetables.
The Turkish Pavilion will be at Hall 1.1 with 25 companies from fresh fruit & vegetable and packaging sectors in a total area of 844 m².
