Fruit Logistica 2014, Berlin

CBI presents 36 suppliers from 12 developing countries

European companies shopping the world for new sources of fresh produce carry a long list of requirements. Freshness and quality are on top of that list, but they also need suppliers who can comply with strict food safety and hygiene protocols; have earned international certifications and are committed to corporate social responsibility. At Fruit Logistica 2014, CBI presents 36 suppliers who meet all of these requirements.

The exhibitors can provide consistent and sustainable sources for a range of fresh produce including pineapples, bananas, avocados, mangos, grapes, citrus, beans, peas, herbs and more. The geographic scope represented can deliver fresh off-season fruits and vegetables to Europe, as well as a wide range of exotics, such as pomegranates, rambutans and mangosteens. In addition this year CBI will introduce growers from West Africa and Central America, adding American okra, blackberries and watermelons to the product line-up.

Every participant, first-time or experienced, presented by CBI has invested heavily in the preparation necessary for successful partnerships in Europe. They have completed a rigorous CBI training programme to meet European market standards for fresh fruits and vegetables and are all GLOBALG.A.P.-certified. These reliable partners are ready to meet the demands of today's marketplace, including the increasing emphasis on corporate social responsibility, ethical trading and sustainability. Programme participants look forward to meeting new suppliers. Please visit them at the CBI Pavilion (Hall 3.2, Stand C20 and C23) and at other selected country pavilions during Fruit Logistica 2014.
