Uzbekistan boosts fruit and vegetable exports to over 1.8M tons

Uzbekistan exported 1.82 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.72 billion in January–October 2025, according to the Statistics Committee. Compared to the same period in 2024, export volumes increased by 7.3%, while revenue rose by 39.7%. Fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.9% of the country's total exports.

Fruit exports grew from 429,000 tons to 523,200 tons, with revenue rising from $456.2 million to $580.3 million.

  • Grapes: 198,100 t (+14%), $198.3 million (+35%)
  • Dried grapes (raisins): 84,100 t (+152%), $109.5 million (+121%)
  • Peaches: 111,600 t (+8%), $105.2 million
  • Cherries: 34,300 t (nearly unchanged)
  • Dried plums: 33,800 t (+77%), $47.9 million (+78%)
  • Apricots: 61,300 t, $46.9 million (slight decline in both volume and value)

Vegetable exports fell from 635,700 t to 524,800 t, yet earnings increased from $169.4 million to $182.9 million.

  • Onions: 297,400 t (−8.5%), revenue up to $84.2 million
  • Cabbage: 129,300 t, $51 million (lower volume, higher value)
  • Tomatoes: 38,200 t, $30.1 million (decline)
  • Carrots: 42,700 t, $8.8 million (nearly halved in volume and value)
  • Cucumbers: 7,200 t (moderate growth)
  • Radishes: 10,100 t, $3.8 million (decline)

Melons and watermelons remained one of the fastest-growing segments: exports rose from 153,900 to 231,500 tons, while revenue increased from $36.5 million to $57.1 million — a 50–56% jump.

Exports of peanuts and nuts grew from 16,100 t to 21,800 t, with revenue rising from $39.4 million to $55.7 million.

Exports of other fruit and vegetable products increased from 401,200 t to 434,300 t, while earnings surged from $484.5 million to $761.9 million.
