Putts and clay targets keep networking fresh at SWIPE 2026

Some people love to network. Others find it awkward or even exhausting. For whatever kind of produce industry pro, the Southwest International Produce Expo is designed to be a refreshing place to connect and conduct business. The event, best known as SWIPE, aims to make sure that trade show business gets done by making it easy, laid-back and fun.

Put a best putt forward at Puttapalooza: Puttapalooza is SWIPE's answer to the 16th hole. It brings the entire event together for a boisterous day of putting challenges, cold beverages and prize-packed games. No golf handicap is needed here, as all event attendees are invited to spend Thursday, January 22 at the Club at Starr Pass to compete for prizes ranging from Bluetooth headsets to bottles of top-shelf spirits. This event, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm is casual, energetic and packed with personality. Puttapalooza brings together SWIPE attendees for the SWIPE Desert Classic Golf Tournament.

Build on-target relationships at the Desert Clay Shootout: For attendees ready to swap the tradeshow buzz for fresh air and marksmanship, the SWIPE Desert Clay Shootout at Tucson Trap and Skeet Club offers a laid-back setting to unwind and connect with fellow attendees. Happening on Saturday, January 24, this event is part of the event's stay-and-play programming, which also includes the inaugural Pickleball Paddle Battle tournament and a border tour of local warehouses that handle fresh produce. The smaller group Saturday events are for those that want to stay and enjoy the SWIPE desert vibes for just a little longer.

"At SWIPE, strong relationships are built on shared experiences that lead to meaningful business relationships," said FPAA president Lance Jungmeyer. "Whether it's on the green or at the range, we create moments that spark opportunities for fresh partnerships."

From educational sessions and informal receptions to the luxurious retreat-style environment of the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, everyone can network their own way at SWIPE, happening on January 22-24, 2026.
