The almond sector will soon have its own organization of producers. This was announced by the Compagnie des Amandes during a press conference on the first day of medFEL 2023. Amandiers de France will be created to structure the sector and organize the French production. But the Compagnie des Amandes also wants to set up its own crop insurance system.

The current system is ill-adapted and too expensive, so the Compagnie des Amandes wants to create its own crop insurance system, to protect against frost especially. The system is modeled on that of car rental companies.
