Peru exported 300,450,861 kilos of fresh onions in 2022 for a FOB value of 105,450,959 dollars. These are almost the same figures as the year before: 300,886,769 kilos for $ 105,162,753, according to the news website Agrodata.
The United States was the top destination for Peruvian onions in 2022, accounting for $68,877,425 and 65% of all Peruvian onion exports. It was followed by Colombia with $16,641,262, Spain with $14,486,369, Chile with $1,733,024, Bolivia with $440,221, the Netherlands with $384,940, and Ecuador with $384,876.
The main exporting companies were Novliz SA with sales of $17,249,733, Agrícola Miranda SAC with $11,567,320, Agrilor SAC with $7,825,457, Shuman Produce Peru SAC with $5,242,083, Mentor Service Trade SAC with $5,087,824, and Agro Golden SAC with $4,428,002, among others.
