Two new markets for street vendors were opened in Kingstown, on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. About 380 street vendors will make use of the new facilities.
Vendors will be able to increase their incomes in the new markets and sell the fruit and vegetables in a more formal space as the government seeks to reduce informal vending in the city.
