Panama will export 163 tons of pineapple to France, Italy, and Germany

According to data provided by the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) of Panama, the country will export 360,000 pounds of pineapples this year, equivalent to 163 tons, to France, Italy, and Germany.

"The product will cost 10 to 12 balboas per unit and will reach cities where there are culinary centers and luxury hotels," said MIDA.

These exports were achieved through the Verba Odrec company, which will buy the fruit from small producers from the area La Chorrera, ensuring that the quality of the product is maintained.

"We are working to include our pineapple in the markets of Milan, Geneva, Switzerland, Paris, and Berlin," said MIDA.
