Ercument Saka, Enes Groenten en Fruit:

"Phone ringing off the hook after arrival of Sultana grapes"

The Turkish Sultana grape season is in full flood at Enes Groenten en Fruit in Venlo. "The quality, flavour and the sugar level of the grapes are all good, they also have a good colour," says Ercument Saka. "The weather has been good so far and we expect sufficient arrivals this season."

"The demand is very good. From supermarkets to wholesalers and market vendors, the phone is ringing off the hook," says Ercument. "Our supplier Hatipohlu is a great grower and we are the largest distributor of the brand Finike in the Netherlands. This trade never has adverts."

Enes' history starts fifteen years ago in a 300 m2 warehouse at Fresh Park Venlo. The im and exporter and care&cash wholesaler is now located in a 9,000 m2 building. The Turkish import has been a strong pillar of the company for years.

Under the own brand Huser Fresh Enes carries countless Turkish products such as Sivri, Carli, Dolma, Kapya, Ucburn, white courgette, mini cucumbers, Turkish Aubergines, quinces, grapes, cherries, figs, melons and various types of pomegranate. The Sultana grape season runs until September.
