Daemyung Farms has just launched a new premium mandarin brand called Komako.
"The Komako brand was launched in 2025, as part of our initiative to introduce premium Korean mandarins to international markets," explains Nick Lee from Daemyung Farms. "The brand was inspired by Jeju Island's rich citrus heritage and our desire to showcase the unique sweetness, aroma, and natural quality of Korean mandarins to the world."
The Komako represents a premium line of Korean mandarins, selected for exceptional taste, high sugar content, and visual perfection.

"We offer Hallabong, Cheonhyehyang, and Red Hyang varieties. These are all naturally seedless and grown under carefully controlled conditions for consistent quality. Their balanced sweetness and low acidity, combined with thin skin and a juicy texture, make them highly enjoyable. Grown in volcanic soil and clean air, they capture the essence of Jeju's natural environment."
These mandarins have high Brix levels with very low acidity and are easy to peel and eat. They go through strict grading and packing standards for export markets.
"The season runs from November to February, depending on the variety and harvest conditions. We project an annual export volume of around 200–300 metric tons, scalable based on market response. Our main targets include Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong, with expansion plans into Europe as brand awareness grows."
