Hellmann Austria has marked its 25th anniversary in logistics, highlighting two and a half decades of operation in the Austrian and Central European markets. Since its establishment in 2000, the company has provided a range of air, sea, and road freight services and has positioned itself as a logistics link between Northern, Southern, and Eastern Europe.

Rainer Mittl took over as Country Managing Director on August 1, 2025. Under his leadership, the company aims to expand its service portfolio, strengthen existing customer relationships, and explore new market opportunities.
Logistics operations and regional role
Hellmann Austria manages air, sea, and road freight operations, including GDP-compliant pharmaceutical logistics through Austria's key cargo airports. It also coordinates automotive control tower management across Central and Eastern Europe and offers full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) transport options for industrial and technology sectors.
In sea freight, the company operates its own import consolidations from Asia, manages export LCL shipments, and uses its cross-dock facility in Vienna to serve neighboring markets such as Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania.
