After several years of collaboration, Amfresh Group and Rioblanco have reached an agreement under which Amfresh has acquired 100% ownership of Terramara Fresh. The acquisition strengthens Amfresh's farming operations across the Pacific Rim region, including the United States, Mexico, and Peru.
The decision marks the next phase of cooperation between the two companies, which began their partnership in 2022. The agreement is described by both sides as a natural progression based on a shared strategy to improve supply consistency and varietal innovation for retail customers.

Terramara Fresh manages more than 600 hectares of farms across two key production regions in Mexico. With the acquisition, Amfresh will focus on expanding production of patented table grape varieties, low-chill cherries, and new blueberry cultivars. The company said these crops are part of a broader fruit program developed to meet demand for improved flavor, resilience, and nutritional quality.
"Our partnership with Rioblanco has been guided by a common purpose and belief in innovation as a catalyst for growth," said Alvaro Muñoz, CEO of Amfresh Group. "This next step unlocks farming expansion in Mexico, enabling us to extend production windows and meet global demand for high-flavored, disease-resistant, and high-antioxidant varieties across our table grape, cherry, and blueberry platforms."
The acquisition forms part of Amfresh's wider efforts to integrate genetics, farming, and retail supply systems across its operations. The company said the move aims to support long-term supply stability and enhance production efficiency for markets throughout North America and the Pacific region.
