Agricultural organizations and farms of Belarus expect to harvest around 1 million tons of potatoes, up 30% from 2024, and 587,000 tons of vegetables, 102% of last year's level.
On September 29, 2025, the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Food established maximum prices for fruits and vegetables supplied for state needs, the ministry's press service reported.
The prices, agreed with the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, apply to sales by legal entities fulfilling government orders. Without storage costs and delivery, the maximum prices per kilogram are approximately:
- Potatoes: Br0.63 (€0.23),
- Beets: Br0.66 (€0.24),
- Carrots: Br0.75 (€0.28),
- Cabbage: Br0.94 (€0.35),
- Apples: Br2.60 (€0.96),
- Onions: Br1.00 (€0.37)
For stabilization reserves for the winter 2025–2026 season, 149,000 tons of produce will be stored: 59,000 tons of potatoes (6% of total production), 63,000 tons of vegetables (11%), and 27,000 tons of apples (40%).
For produce supplied to wholesalers under the government order, including storage costs and delivery, the maximum prices per kilogram are approximately:
- Potatoes: Br0.71 (€0.26)
- Beets: Br0.78 (€0.29)
- Carrots: Br0.90 (€0.33)
- Cabbage: Br1.08 (€0.40)
- Apples: Br3.20 (€1.18)
- Onions: Br1.12 (€0.41)
