The latest fruit price data shows a decline in average prices for several apple varieties. Bramley's Seedling apples saw their average price fall from £1.37 per kilogram last week to £1.25 this week, a decrease of £0.12. Other late-season apples recorded a more significant drop, with the average falling from £1.48 to £0.95 per kilogram. This represents a weekly change of £0.53.
Blueberries also experienced a notable decline. The average price decreased from £11.31 per kilogram in the previous week to £9.43 this week, a drop of £1.88. This marks one of the largest absolute price reductions among the fruits listed in the current data.
While apples and blueberries declined, the category "Plums – All Other" showed a substantial price increase. The average price rose from £2.23 to £3.11 per kilogram, reflecting a £0.88 rise week-on-week. This increase represents a 39% change and is the highest percentage increase among the selected products.
These changes in average prices highlight a mixed trend across different fruit categories. Apples and blueberries saw price decreases, while some varieties of plums moved in the opposite direction. The data provides an updated snapshot of weekly pricing fluctuations for key fresh produce items.
