Kyrgyzstan begins construction of 600-ton fruit and vegetable storage center

In the Uzgen district of Kyrgyzstan, construction has begun on a new storage facility for fruits and vegetables. The center, located in the village of Bolshevik, is designed to support local growers by improving storage capacity and facilitating the export of their produce. It will be managed by the "Bolshevik Bagbandar Birimdigi" and will have a storage capacity of 600 tons.

The total cost of the project is 35 million Kyrgyz soms (approx €343,000), funded through a loan provided by the World Bank under the ARIS program. The loan carries a 2% annual interest rate and a seven-year term.

Government agencies have been instructed to provide the necessary support for the project's implementation. Additional measures have been adopted to encourage investment and ensure a favorable business environment.
