In the latest weekly pricing data for bananas, Belize was the only country among the listed suppliers to show a significant price change. The average price for bananas from Belize dropped to £0.88 per kilogram, down from the previous week's average of £0.99. This marks a decrease of £0.11, or 11%, representing the sharpest weekly decline among all reported sources.
For other countries including Cameroon, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua, banana prices remained stable compared to the previous week. Cameroon and Nicaragua both reported unchanged average prices of £0.96 and £0.93 respectively, while Colombia and Costa Rica saw minimal or no movement at £0.96. The broader group averages for ACP and dollar-based suppliers also showed marginal shifts, with the ACP group declining by 11.11% and dollar suppliers rising by 1%. The overall average price across all supply regions stood at £0.95, reflecting a slight weekly decrease of 1%.
