Angus Soft Fruits introduced its new berry brand, Good Natured Berries, at the 2025 Royal Highland Show. The launch featured berries packaged in cardboard punnets and showcased at a branded stand, which received a Highly Commended Stand Award. The award recognised the design and presentation, as well as the engagement of staff present at the event.
The brand was launched as part of the "Berries of Scotland" campaign, supported by the Scottish Government. The campaign aims to promote Scotland's soft fruit sector and raise awareness of the industry's estimated £188 million economic and environmental contribution. Speakers at the event included Amanda Brown (Scotland Food & Drink), Jim Fairlie MSP, Jill Witheyman (Angus Soft Fruits), chef Sarah Rankin, and Colin Campbell (James Hutton Institute).

The stand also received a visit from HRH The Princess Royal, who engaged with the team and viewed the new product line. Her Lady-in-Waiting reportedly returned the following day for a follow-up visit.
The company was recognised by M&S with a Produce Excellence Award for its work in quality, innovation, and sustainability across its soft fruit supply chain. This includes contributions from Lucy Wilkins, Director of the AVA™ Berries Breeding Programme, and co-founder Lochy Porter, who is involved in sustainable farming practices. The award acknowledged the development of varieties such as the Red Diamond strawberry and efforts to reduce chemical use in berry production.
The brand also participated in cookery demonstrations alongside M&S and took part in presentations at the Food For Thought Theatre, highlighting discussions on provenance and fruit quality.
During the show, over 4,200 punnets of berries were sold, and consumer feedback was gathered through 151 surveys.
