First Vietnamese lychees arrive in Paris

On June 2, Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris received over two tonnes of Vietnamese lychees, marking the initial shipment of this year's produce to France. These lychees, originating from Thanh Ha district in Vietnam's Hai Duong province, were expedited to Parisian supermarket shelves within five hours of arrival.

Vu Anh Son, Counselor of the Vietnam Trade Office based in France, remarked on the delivery, noting it highlighted both logistical preparation and efforts by businesses and management agencies to enhance export procedures. Son stated, "This fast delivery not only shows careful preparation in logistics but also reflects the tireless efforts of businesses and management agencies in improving the export process."

According to Nguyen Van Nam, from the Vietnamese-French Market supermarket, this year brought improvements after last year's initial import attempt faced challenges. Issues such as quality, size, packaging, and transportation were previously mishandled, impacting the business financially and reputationally. Nam commented on resolving prior difficulties, enhancing quality control for the recent import.

Upon arrival, the lychees garnered positive consumer responses in the Paris supermarket.
