Jan Rozema and Christian Bras join forces

Prime Fruit Partners officially launched

Under the name Prime Fruit Partners, Jan Rozema and Christian Bras are joining forces. With more than 40 years of combined experience in the international fruit trade, they have now chosen to do business independently. Over the years, both men have built a strong network of loyal suppliers from various continents and customers throughout Europe, they say.

A new company in an already saturated market of fruit importers and traders? That might be your first thought. But those who know Jan and Christian understand they are far from typical newcomers. Their entire careers have been built on personal relationships, entrepreneurship, and trust.

"It has always been our ambition to build our own organization where we make the decisions ourselves," Jan explains. "We've been given—and created—great opportunities with our previous employers. Now, it's exciting to take this step together with Christian Bras, backed by the goodwill of many in the industry."

Christian adds, "We're not new players, but familiar faces bringing together our experience. Prime Fruit Partners stands for exactly what we are: experts in fruit, partners who care."

Products
The official launch on 1 May coincides perfectly with the start of the South African citrus season. Prime Fruit Partners will focus on overseas imports from South Africa and South America, with citrus, grapes, stone fruit, and pome fruit among its core products. "In addition to that, you'll also see us offering other items," Christian explains, "such as pomegranates, mangoes, and avocados."

Logistics
Prime Fruit Partners' arrivals will be managed at A.F.L. Barendrecht. Their new, modern warehouse—including a packing facility—is just a stone's throw from the Barendrecht office. "This way, the team is always close by to inspect the products firsthand."

Prime Fruit Partners officially began operations on 1 May.
