Daniel Bädorf succeeds Jens Wiele as new CEO

Erzeugergroßmarkt Langförden-Oldenburg (ELO) appoints Daniel Bädorf (38) as the new CEO of ELO eG. Bädorf succeeds Jens Wiele, who is turning to new challenges.

Daniel Bädorf, who has been Head of Sales at ELO eG since January, will also take over the role of CEO in March. With extensive experience in the retail industry, Bädorf brings valuable expertise in the areas of strategic purchasing, category management, and brand development to his new role. Most recently, he was divisional manager at Edeka subsidiary Netto Marken-Discount, where he was responsible for the fruit & vegetables and flowers & plants product ranges. Prior to that, he held management positions at EDEKA Fruchtkontor and other well-known companies in the fresh produce sector. With Bädorf, ELO eG will continue to develop as a reliable partner for fruit and vegetable products and create added value on both sides as a link between producers and retailers.

Successful and strategic further development of ELO eG
Wolfgang Mählmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ELO eG: "We are pleased to welcome Daniel Bädorf, a competent and committed colleague. He brings fresh ideas and innovative concepts that will ensure the successful and strategic further development of ELO eG." On the board, Bädorf will be responsible for sales, marketing, human resources, quality management, and purchasing, while Jan-Bernd Krümpelbeck will continue to oversee logistics, accounting, plants, IT, and processes.

The supervisory board would also like to thank Jens Wiele for his commitment and achievements in the restructuring and sustainable development of the producer cooperative in recent years. Due to differing views on the future strategic direction, it has been decided to go separate ways.
