Rushton’s donates 3.5 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables to Crisis UK

This Christmas, New Covent Garden Market based catering distributor Rushton’s the chef’s greengrocer has donated a staggering 3.5 tonnes of fresh produce to Crisis UK, to help the charity in its mission to supply the capital’s homeless with vital and nutritious food.

Rushton’s has an ongoing relationship with Crisis UK and through this collaboration its goal is to provide comfort and sustenance, fostering a sense of community and solidarity. With support like this and the dedication of over 3,300 volunteers, Crisis delivered hotel accommodation, hub services, food, and wellbeing packs to support to nearly 3,500 individuals facing homelessness during the holiday season last year.

Hannah Turner, Head of Marketing at Rushton’s, called on others to support the Crisis cause. “Together with Crisis, we aspire to make a positive difference, bringing warmth and nourishment to individuals in crisis this festive season,” she said. “We would encourage anyone in a position to do so to consider supporting Crisis at Christmas and empower someone to begin their journey beyond homelessness. Any donation can make a meaningful impact by providing crucial resources, shelter, and assistance to individuals in need during the holiday season.

“Join us in making a difference and giving the gift of hope for a brighter future.”
