"In addition to being gentle when handling produce, the machine can reach the weight set to fill punnets"

"The Madrid fair was a success and we are currently getting in touch with all the foreign operators who came to see us at our stand," reports Nicola Antonacci (sales manager) and Arianna Zammarchi (contact person) from Zetapack.

"We showcased a weighing machine (C1 LUX ) that features a very gentle system that can process bunch tomatoes and grapes without damaging them. These characteristics were appreciated by operators all over the world. Entrepreneurs from Spain, Holland, Egypt, Chile as well as from north Africa showed their interest."

The purpose of C1 LUX is to obtain a pre-set weight, facilitating the work of operators. "In addition to being gentle when handling produce, the machine can reach the weight set to fill punnets."

"An operator feeds the machine by partially filling punnets with an indicative amount. Punnets are then weighed to check the actual grams of the pre-filled packet. At the same time, the grader calculates the quantity of, say, tomatoes missing to reach the minimum guaranteed weight."

This specific quantity of produce, which travels on buckets, is downloaded onto a hopper which in turn unloads the produce next to the corresponding punnet.

"Finally, an operator at the end of the line places the produce into the punnet, which then proceeds on a conveyor. Our machines can be placed downstream all packaging or flowpack machines."
