Status of Almeria's greenhouse crops in mid-October

In mid-October, the number of pepper greenhouse plantations being harvested in Almeria increased. Later plantations are in their blooming, setting, and fattening phases.

According to the latest State of the Crops report of the Agricultural and Fishery Information Service of the Junta de AndalucĂa, tomato producers have already started to harvest the earliest plantations. In the rest of the tomato crops, they continued staking and detailing works, although there were also newly planted greenhouses.

Producers continued staking, curdling, and fattening aubergines. The earliest plantations continued to be harvested, and prices remained low. Zucchini transplants also continued, the earliest plantations were in harvest, with somewhat low prices. Producers continued staking activities.

In cucumber, there are plantations at all stages of development; some have been recently transplanted, and the earliest plantations are already in production.
