Russia: More than 21 thousand tons of vegetables were controlled in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic

Since the beginning of 2023, the North Caucasus Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic has monitored the shipment of fresh cucumbers and tomatoes to the regions of the Russian Federation. The total volume of shipped products amounted to 21,683 tons. Additionally, 1.2 times more cucumbers were supplied than tomatoes.

The most vegetables were sent to the Moscow region (10,471 tons), Krasnodar region (908 tons), Leningrad (839 tons), and Novgorod (886 tons) regions. In the same period in 2022, the shipment of vegetables was 10% higher than this year and amounted to 24,117 tons.

Before shipment, the Rosselkhoznadzor department took samples to establish the phytosanitary state of regulated products, and only after receiving the conclusions of laboratory tests were quarantine certificates issued for the batch.
