The cultivated area for vegetables is 10% larger than last year

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the vegetable harvest is being gathered

The vegetable harvest is ongoing in Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine. In some districts, 70% of the vegetable crop has already been collected. This year, farmers have planted more than 10% additional land compared to 2022, totaling over 110,000 hectares.

Farmers have grown nearly 450,000 tons of potatoes, over 50,000 tons of beets, and more than 77,000 tons of onions. Additionally, crops of melons, cucumbers, and tomatoes have been harvested.

“We are grateful to the agricultural producers for maintaining the food front. This is challenging in the conditions of a full-scale war. However, they are working tirelessly for the benefit of the country,” expressed his gratitude to the farmers Sergey Lysak, the head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
