For six consecutive seasons, the agricultural enterprise "Dibrivka Agroservice" has been cultivating organic raspberries on a 30-hectare land in the Kyiv region of Ukraine. Annually, the farm exports hundreds of tons of frozen raspberries to Europe from this area. They employ Polish raspberry varieties, such as "Polissia" and "Polana," which have been tried and tested over time and are noted for their consistent yields.
The enterprise's success has been achieved through a well-planned strategy, an organized production process, and the establishing of a shock freezing and storage complex that facilitates efficient processing and storage of large volumes of the harvest. Moreover, they intend to diversify the types of raspberries they grow by introducing summer varieties.
The enterprise places a significant emphasis on exporting frozen raspberries, as the domestic market in Ukraine cannot absorb their entire harvest of fresh raspberries. This approach ensures decent profitability and favorable performance for the farm. Additionally, the results of yields are contingent upon the weather conditions.
The chief agronomist of the enterprise warns that the raspberry market is rapidly expanding, which may lead to reduced prices due to a substantial increase in overall yields. Therefore, they advise vigilance across seasons and strategic planning by market dynamics.
