After a modest start, the Reine Claude campaign is now well underway for the Producer Group Val Durance Luberon, based in Cabrières-d'Avignon, Vaucluse. "Until now, the market has been relatively sluggish, but we can now say that business has really taken off. Sales are flowing, and prices are stable. The campaign is going quite well," reports company manager José Illan. Production-wise, the campaign also seems to be going well: "Trees are loaded, and Brix levels are between 18 and 20. As for volumes, we expect 30 tons of golden Reine Claude this season".

The company is also starting the grape campaign: "We're looking forward to selling Muscat de Hambourg and Muscat PDO Ventoux. We'll also be marketing other varieties throughout the season, such as the Lavallée, Prima, and Lival black grapes, as well as the Danlas, Chasselas, Muscat d'Alexandrie, and Centennial Seedless whites for field production and long-term storage. A total of 1,200 tonnes of grapes are expected this season.

After the grapes, Hayward green kiwifruit will follow in November, before tackling 2024 with green and white asparagus, Ventoux cherries, plums, and apricots.
