The Hague 14 September, 2023

Big names in fresh produce sign up for first Global Tropicals Congress

Some of the biggest companies in the fresh produce business will be at the first ever Global Tropicals Congress, which takes place in The Hague on 14 September, to discuss the latest trends and growth strategies in fresh tropical fruit.

Dole, will take part in what promises to be a highly informative programme of talks and discussions about this fast-growing category.

Joining Dole will be an array of other tropicals suppliers. These include AMFresh, Westfalia, Olympic Fruit, Georges Helfer, Wealmoor, and Blue Skies.

Also on the programme are Hamburg-based procurement specialist Don Limón, Indian exporter Kay Bee Exports, Vietnamese supplier The Fruit Republic, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, a major entry point for imported tropicals and exotics, and Swedish retailer ICA, a leader in the promotion of fresh produce and healthy eating to consumers.

With expert analysis from RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness, the Global Tropicals Congress focuses on up-to-date trade and consumer research, new product development, sustainability and ethical trade, logistics and emerging technologies that can drive quality improvement in the delivery of fresh tropical fruit.

Crucial connections
With a packed one-day conference programme of talks, presentations, interviews and tastings that all take place in a bustling networking and expo space, Global Tropicals Congress brings together key players from across the tropicals supply chain to explore new opportunities for growth.

How can suppliers grow the tropical fruit category while making their own operations more sustainable and contributing to the long-term future viability of the industry as a whole? What products can drive demand and which new supply sources will emerge as future export winners? And which new technologies will deliver improved quality and consistency in this sector?

Whether you’re a supplier from Latin America, Asia or Europe looking for new markets, or an importer or buyer seeking inspiration, this is the event for you. Early bird registration must be completed before the 31 July.
