On July 7, 2023, representatives from Rosselkhoznadzor visited the Indian mango festival “AAMRUS-2023” organized by the Embassy of the Republic of India in Russia. The opening ceremony was attended by officials from both countries.
Vasily Lavrovsky from Rosselkhoznadzor, in his speech, expressed hope that the festival would help establish long-term cooperation between Indian mango producers and Russian importers. He also highlighted that the question of phytosanitary safety in mango imports has been thoroughly studied, and there are currently no restrictions on importing tropical fruits to Russia.
Furthermore, with the development of the North-South transportation corridor, the prospects for supplying Indian agricultural products to Russia are promising.
