Mexican tomato exports to the US in the first quarter of the year increased by almost 26%

Between January and April 2023, US tomato imports from Mexico were worth $1.086 billion, i.e., 25.9 percent more than in the first four months of 2022, according to data from the Commerce Department.

Mexico thus broke a record in its tomato exports to the United States in the first four months of 2023, just as it did in 2022 when it exported tomatoes for an all-time high of $2.477 billion.
